Biography: 

My name is York C. Roth and I work for Airbus as “Research & Technology Technical Leader” for the European CleanSky2/ CleanAviation Large Passenger Aircraft Program Platform 2 representing fuselage technologies for commercial aircraft. The scope covers airframe, cabin & cargo and non-specific cross function projects including full size parts manufacture and integration into the world’s 1st and largest R&T fuselage demonstrator manufactured out of thermoplastic composites: Multifunctional Fuselage Demonstrator/ MFFD. In 1999, I finished my studies in Mechanical Engineering at Technical University in Darmstadt, Germany, and moved on to the “Institut für Verbundwerkstoffe/ IVW” at Technical University Kaiserslautern, Germany. I successfully completed my job as a “Dr.-Ing.”/ PhD in 2004 and joined Airbus. In the past 20 years, I took over serval roles as project/ portfolio manager and head of department in several functions like Engineering.
