Veronique MICHAUD
Biography :
Prof. Véronique Michaud is currently the head of the Laboratory for Processing of Advanced Composites and Associate Dean of Engineering for Education, at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, in Switzerland. Her research interests are the fundamentals of composite materials processing, in view of cost-effective and of functional materials and structures. Functions include self-healing, shape and vibration control, controlled heat transfer, tailored damping properties, as well as non-linear mechanical behaviour, as encountered in biological structures, while the focus is on developing adapted processing routes to integrate these into structural composite materials, for applications in transport, sport, or industrial sectors.
