Stephen W. TSAI
Biography:
Stephen Tsai, BE and DEng Yale University, Professor Resarch Emeritus, Stanford University. Active in mechanics of composites for more than 60 years. Known for Tsai-Hill, Tsai-Wu, Tsai's modulus, and Halpin-Tsai equation. Member of the US Academy of Engineers since 1995. Winner of American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics' Guggenheim Medal in 2025. Also the 2025 winner of American Society of Mechanical Engineer's Spirit of St. Louis Medal for the Conference of Structures, Structural Dynamics and Materials.
