Biography:

Prof. Sotirios Grammatikos is a Full Professor in Polymers and Composites at NTNU and Scientific Director of ASEMlab. He holds a PhD in Materials Engineering from the University of Ioannina and has held positions at Chalmers, the University of Bath, and others. His research focuses on sustainable composites, recycling, and durability in aerospace, energy, and infrastructure. He collaborates with leading industries like GKN Aerospace and Hexagon Composites. An active member of ESCM and European initiatives, he has received NTNU’s Research Excellence Prize (2021) and Oslo Ambassador Award (2023). His work includes teaching, research projects, and numerous scholarly publications.
