Biography: 

Smita graduated with a Bachelor's of Technology from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, India and a Ph.D. degree in Organometallic Chemistry from Pennsylvania State University. She joined ExxonMobil as a scientist in the Corporate labs and has worked since in a variety of roles in product, catalysis, hydrocarbon sciences, marketing, business development and product management. For the last five years, she has focused on identifying opportunities for growth in new technology areas or business models to build new ventures and business as part of the New Market Development organization in the ExxonMobil Product Solutions company. Her interest lies at the interface of technology and business to translate complex value propositions into actionable projects.
