Roberto PALAZZETTI
Biography:
Roberto Palazzetti graduated in Mechanical Engineering at University of Bologna (Italy) in 2009, where also he got his doctorate on Electrospun nanofibrous interleaves in composite laminate materials. From 2013 to 2017 he was appointed Research Associate at the University of Strathclyde (Glasgow, UK) and worked on robotic UK- and EU-funded projects. In 2018 he moved back to Italy and worked as R&D engineer in a large-size company nearby Modena, before being appointed as associate professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the Politecnico di Milano (Italy). His publication range covers topics like structural health monitoring, static and fatigue mechanical testing of composites, electric motors and robotics. His current main research fields are composite materials and gear transmissions.
