About Phoenix Carbon:

Phoenix Carbon (PC) enables a circular economy for all composite materials by recycling without affecting the material properties, enabling high value to the end user. A composite is a material made from two components, a textile (e.g. carbon fibre, CF) and a thermoset polymer (resin). 85% of all waste composite is sent to landfill: the challenge is separating the textile from the resin without damaging the fibre or resin mechanical properties. PC’s disrupting technology can reclaim the valuable textile while maintaining the fibre’s original properties intact, including its state and form. Revenue is generated by selling the highly valuable woven CF to customers at 50% lower prices with 96% lower CO2e compared to virgin woven CF.
