Nico PETERS
Biography:
Nico Peters received a Master of Science in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at the University of Calgary (Alberta, Canada) in 2026. His research focused on the process optimization and modeling of a novel 3D printing process for manufacturing continuous carbon fiber-reinforced thermoplastic components with high fiber volume fractions (>50%) and low void contents (<2%). Further work included the development and thermomechanical modeling of 3D printed carbon fiber antenna reflector surfaces for spacecraft systems.
About the Laboratory of Engineering Materials at the University of Calgary:
The Laboratory of Engineering Materials at the University of Calgary is led by Prof. Joanna C.H. Wong with research focused on the processing of high performance fiber-reinforced composite materials.
