Mohammed AL TAYYAR
Biography:
With multiple technical and leadership roles, Mohammad AlTayyar’s career spans more than 20 years in the energy field. He held positions within Saudi Aramco in process engineering, technology development and commercialization, new business development, strategy, and joint venture management. Mohammad is currently the Program Director of the Oil Sustainability Program; a program designed to create new and innovative applications for hydrocarbons that are both environmentally and economically advantageous. He is a member of multiple committees within the Ministry of Energy ecosystem and has been focused on the Program’s implementation targets. Mohammad holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering from Vanderbilt University, and a Master’s degree in Engineering & Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology School of Engineering and Sloan School of Management. He is also an Eisenhower Fellow.
About the OSP:
The OSP was established under the umbrella of the Supreme Committee for Hydrocarbon Materials. HRH, the Minster of Energy, chairs the Supervisory Committee which includes 17 entities from both the public and private sector in the Kingdom. The aim of the program is to support the energy transition globally, while ensuring a reliable, sustainable and affordable energy mix which will be achieved by removing barriers to energy access in developing markets, accelerating technology developments and reducing environmental impact of conventional energy sources, to ultimately sustain and identify new sources for hydrocarbons.
