Maria Modestou, Meng, is an Applied Physicist and Material Scientist whose interest focuses on developing innovative and sustainable solutions, to recycle, recover and reuse CFRPs and GFRPs, providing environmentally friendly procedures and principles for managing composites waste, such as solvolysis. She also works on epoxy-based composites materials for the manufacturing, the mechanical properties and the characterization of these materials, as well as surface modifications of carbon fibre fabrics and fibres.
