Biography:
Marco Borra, Scientific Attaché, at the Italian Embassy in Paris, former Director of the Italian Node of the European Marine Biological Resource Centre, First Technologist at the Zoological Station Anton Dohrn in Naples (SZN), Head of International Cooperation and Strategic Partnership of the Institution. Born in 1972, MS degree in Biological Sciences, PhD in Animal Biology and Post-doc at Sunnybrook and Women's College Health Sciences Centre, Department of Medical Biophysics, University of Toronto. Worked for years in a Core facilities developing highly complex Molecular Biology techniques and automation for creating research facilities. Former Director of the Department of Research Infrastructure for Marine Biological Resources, SZN, expert in Research Infrastructure, the implementation of development, their management. Member of the WG "Promote increased G7 political cooperation by identifying additional action needed to enhance future routine ocean observation" as part of the G7 Science "The future of the Seas and Oceans"
