John M.E Phipps is the EMEA Business Development Manager for Nextel Ceramic Fibres and textiles leading a team devoted to the progress of ceramic fibres in CMC and MMC from demonstrators to gain a place on actual programs. John has a Masters in Business Administration, a Post graduate Diploma in Economic Design and Manufacture and a Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is also a Charter Engineer and a Member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and has a Lean Six sigma Green Belt. His 20 year career working with Startups, SMEs and Global multinational conglomerates has provided him with operations, business development and sales leadership knowledge and knowhow of getting product through TRL to full commercialisation and scaling up production in challenging time scales.
