Gard Alexander Antonsen is currently Director of Innovation and Technical Business Development at Hexagon Purus, which he joined in 2021. His role is focused on advancing hydrogen ecosystem technologies, targeting more efficient and cost-effective solutions in design, materials, and processes, driving innovation to enhance the performance and sustainability of Hexagon Purus’s products. With nearly three decades of experience in composite technology, Antonson has founded two companies and worked as a consultant across diverse sectors including military, marine, aviation, oil and gas, and civil engineering. In the oil and gas sector, he has spearheaded advancements in pressure vessels, notably the development of composite risers, choke and kill lines, and umbilicals. He is also skilled in driving digital transformation and fostering global collaboration to inspire innovation and solve complex challenges.
