Etienne LECLERC
Biography:
Etienne Leclerc is a Master’s student in Mechanical Engineering at Polytechnique Montréal, Canada, and a researcher at the Laboratory of Multi-scale Mechanics (LM2) under the supervision of Professor David Melancon. With a background in mechanical systems, Etienne specializes in the design and optimization of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors (PMSMs) for electric vehicles. His research explores the development of an innovative meta-structure that utilizes centrifugal force to passively control the motor’s electromagnetic flux, addressing key challenges in motor performance at high speeds. By combining Finite Element simulations with additive manufacturing techniques, Etienne aims to create more efficient and sustainable motor solutions. Driven by a passion for technological advancement and sustainability, he seeks to bridge the gap between theoretical research and real-world applications in energy-efficient transportation.
