Enrico TROIANI
Biography:
Professor Enrico Troiani is an Associate Professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Bologna, specializing in Aerospace Structures and Design.
He earned his Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from Politecnico di Milano and the University of Pisa in 2000, focusing on delamination behavior in composite materials.
His research encompasses Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) systems, damage tolerance in composite structures, and advanced techniques to enhance the performance of metallic structures.
Professor Troiani has coordinated several international research projects, including the "Unique Materials for Advanced Aerospace Applications" (UMA3) under the H2020 program.
He is also the scientific coordinator of MaSTeRLab, the Materials, Structures, and Technology Research Laboratory at the University of Bologna's Forlì Campus.
Throughout his career, he has received numerous awards, such as the Royal Aeronautical Society Bronze Medal in 2013, and has authored numerous publications in the field of aerospace materials and structural integrity.
He is also the Coordinator of the Second Cycle Degree in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Bologna.
