Biography:

Degree in Chemistry (University of Santiago de Compostela), PhD in Materials Engineering (University Carlos III of Madrid) with expertise on the development of modified thermoplastic polymers with different nano and micro particles, focused on dispersion, viscosity, and processability characterization. Her PhD was complemented with several research stays in USA (Penn State University, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin University), among others national stays and later during her work in AIMEN. She has 20 years of experience in polymeric materials, characterization and development of new composites and joining technologies, with a special focus on composites and multimaterials manufacturing and new processing routes. She has been leading National and International research projects related with polymers and composites in AIMEN since 2006. She has been the head of Advanced Composites Technologies, a group of 35 people working on R&D projects.
