Biography: 

David Bücheler is Xpert for Polymers and Global Innovation Manager at Daimler Truck AG, where he drives fact‑based decisions on polymer topics and accelerates the introduction of new technologies into series production. Previously, he was Director of Process Engineering at Schmidt & Heinzmann, defining machinery for the production of composites like SMC-lines. At Fraunhofer ICT, he led a team advancing SMC, BMC, PUR fiber spraying, and thermoset injection molding. He brings end‑to‑end expertise in materials, design for manufacturability, tooling, and industrialization of thermoset and thermoplastic solutions, bridging R&D and shop floor execution.
