Biography:

Christophe Lecomte holds the position of Vice President of Biomechanical Solutions within Össur's Research and Development department in Iceland. He leads the mechanical engineering team, focusing on carbon composite technology, silicones, and advanced alloys. His primary role involves leading the development of mechanical lower limb prosthetics, overseeing the coordination of various components such as liners, mechanical knees, sockets, and feet. With 20 years of experience at Össur, Christophe and his design team played a pivotal role in the evolution of the Cheetah product lines, worn by numerous elite and recreational amputee athletes globally. He earned a master's degree in mechanical engineering from l'Ecole Nationale d'Ingénieurs de Tarbes in France and a doctoral degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Iceland.
