Biography:

Charlie joined NCC in 2022 and is a Research Engineer in the High Volume Manufacturing department, supporting UK industry in sectors ranging from wind energy to SMEs developing composite camper van beds. He has worked on a range of projects during his time with the company including: developing data-driven models to improve infusion quality, using sensorisation to optimise the infusion and cure processes and preventing defects during resin infusion processes and development of large-scale resin infusion of wind turbine blades. He is currently working on the setup and development of the NCC’s new Large Structures Innovation Centre (LSIC), this work involves writing specifications for any equipment to support the infusion process at this new facility.
