Material Laboratory and Métier Manager, FAURECIA

Biography :

Since 2021, Cédric THOMAS is the manager of the Métiers & Material Laboratory team in Faurecia Hydrogen Solutions. Cédric drives and supervises activities and projects to support on-going developments and programs for Hydrogen Storage Tanks & Systems in several fields: material, fluid & thermal simulations, design simulations and failure / damage analysis.
Cédric THOMAS started his career in Safran Composites (R&D technical center of Safran Group) in 2011 and spent 9 years with different positions as project manager and Design office manager. Through this experience he had the opportunity to work on different composite materials and manufacturing processes for aircraft engine or nacelles parts.
Cédric THOMAS is graduated in Organic & Inorganic Materials Chemistry Engineering from ENS Chimie Montpellier. He also passed a PhD study in Composite Mechanic fields at Mines Paris Tech, focused on the characterization of thermoplastic materials damages for Type IV Hydrogen Storage Tanks application.
