Biography:

Carwyn is the Associate Director for Advanced Materials & Structures in the newly formed School of Engineering at UWE Bristol. He joined UWE Bristol in July 2022, originally as the Associate Head of Department for Aerospace & Aviation; before then he worked as a Researcher/Lecturer/Senior Lecturer at the University of Bristol. Carwyn holds a PhD from the University of Bristol, with an MRes and a BEng(Hons) from Swansea University; he is also a Fellow of HEA. His research interests primarily include Advanced Composites Design, Processing & Manufacture; Process Automation, and; Design for Manufacture.
