Biography: 

This self-taught sailor who has sailed on anything that floats on a hull. In 2018, he won La Route du Rhum – Destination Guadeloupe on Multi50 and achieved a good 11th place in the 2020 Vendée Globe. His stated desire is to be at the start of the 2028 Vendée Globe on an IMOCA made with decommissioned carbon from aeronautics.

About IMOCA Les P'tits Doudous:

On the way to the objective of aligning with the 2028 Vendée Globe, Armel Tripon is embarking on the project under a new banner “Les P’tits doudous” thus giving visibility to this association of caregivers committed to operated children. In parallel with this societal commitment, the Team's project also aims to be eco-responsible. The new boat, built from recycled materials and scraps from the aeronautics industry, defends its virtuous concept with alternatives and concrete solutions in the service of a circular economy.
