Amer ALBUKHARI
Biography:
Amer Al-Bukhari is the General Manager of the Materials Sector at the Oil Sustainability Program (OSP). A program designed to create new and innovative applications for composite and polymer materials. His career spans around 18 years in the energy field and he is a member of multiple committees within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and a board member of the Saudi Nonmetallic Materials Association. As part of his current role, he is leading various materials opportunities to promote and enable utilization of sustainable materials both locally and globally to enable the materials transition. Before joining OSP, Amer held multiple technical and leadership roles within Saudi Aramco in various entities part of the Downstream and Technical Services business lines. Amer holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in mechanical engineering.
About the OSP:
The OSP is a national program that was established in 2020. HRH, the Minister of Energy, chairs the Supervisory Committee which includes 17 entities from both the public and private sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The aim of the program is to support the energy transition globally, while ensuring a reliable, sustainable and affordable energy mix which will be achieved by removing barriers to energy access in developing markets, accelerating technology developments and reducing environmental impact of conventional energy sources, to ultimately sustain and identify new sources for hydrocarbons.
