This issue of JEC Composites Magazine is designed as a guide to help visitors prepare their journey through the show. This edition offers a curated selection of everything that composites industry players are keen to share at JEC World.

Readers will discover the 20 winners of the Startup Booster, highlighting the vitality of composites entrepreneurship, alongside the 11 winners of the JEC Innovation Awards, recognising excellence from research to industrial deployment. Materials and processes are also explored through a renewed focus on SMC and BMC, addressed from both life-cycle assessment and design perspectives, ahead of the SMC BMC Design Awards taking place during the show. Other technologies such as scalable RTM 4.0 and large-scale additive manufacturing will be highlighted and live industrial demonstrations introduced.

Business will naturally be on the agenda, with pages presenting the Business Meetings platform and First-Time Buyers initiative, along with an introduction to JEC Investor Day. Conferences and events will also take centre stage in the show and in this issue, particularly the Women in Composites conference and the Country on Stage, this year spotlighting Saudi Arabia, offering insight into a fast-growing composites ecosystem. This JEC World issue will also feature conversations with industry leaders such as Airbus, ExxonMobil (Proxxima™), Owens Corning and Kordsa, sharing insights on innovation and industrial transformation.

Innovation is, of course, the key word, with an introduction to the Innovation Planets, guiding readers through dedicated zones where visitors can discover a selection of composite parts on display. In addition, the Innovation Report presents a first selection of 60 innovations in this issue. Some time after the show, a complete version in digital format will be released, thus ensuring the greatest possible visibility for exhibitors' innovations. Innovation is also present in the magazine’s Feature section: from Duqueine's carbon wheel and Epsilon Composite's composite cables to the high-speed robotic 3D winding machine developed by Cygnet Texkimp and the University of Manchester to Sopara's infrared heating system for thermoplastic composites.

The last section features Sampe technical sessions, which will provide an overview of the methods and technologies shaping the next generation of advanced materials and offer insights into the state of the art in the field in different regions of the world. It also includes an exclusive interview by Jeff Sloan with Professor Stephen Tsai, Emeritus Professor at Stanford University, who will lead a dedicated masterclass at JEC World. The magazine concludes with a tour of the MCEM laboratory at Kaust, a key player in composites science and engineering in Saudi Arabia.

What is more, the JEC Observer has been published alongside the latest JEC Composites Magazine. This edition delivers structured data and analysis on the global composites market, applications and regional dynamics. Together, these publications provide both analytical foundations and editorial insight to better understand what will be on display at JEC World 2026.
