Transforming Recyclable Thermoset Composites into Tomorrow's Sustainable Resources: Advancing Recycling through Post-processes and Moulding Innovations

In this joint presentation, Fraunhofer ICT, Lineat, and Swancor will introduce novel technical routes for sustainable composites. Innovative materials, semi-products, and processes are essential to improve resource efficiency and sustainability. Swancor will introduce unique, new recyclable resin systems for SMC and prepreg with a recyclate content. Lineat will introduce aligned fibre technology and different applications based on its thin-ply materials. Fraunhofer ICT will present a new processing approach to produce sustainable SMC using recycled carbon fibers in combination with the novel resin system.
