Composite Materials for Low Carbon Construction

10 Mar 2026
Agora 6

As the construction sector strives to decarbonize, composite materials offer unmatched advantages in durability, weight reduction, corrosion resistance, and design freedom. Yet, broad adoption is still limited by persistent barriers: cost perception, lack of standardization, regulatory gaps, and cautious market behavior.

This roundtable brings together industry leaders, standardization authorities, and construction firms to discuss how regulatory tools (Eurocodes, ASTM standards), quality labels, and industry alliances are enabling change. The panel will explore strategies to build trust among large contractors and accelerate integration of composite solutions, such as rebars into concrete or structural elements for better thermal and fire performance.
