Long Fiber Composites by and for Additive Manufacturing
05 Mar 2025
Campus
Additive manufacturing of functional and high-performance biocomposites has attracted a lot of interest in recent years due to their strong application potential, their interesting specific mechanical properties and their low environmental footprint. Researchers at the ITheMM laboratory have been working for several years on the development of bio-based composites obtained by additive manufacturing using different approaches and techniques. To do this, the laboratory has the entire AM value chain (from raw material to final part) and implements multiphysics/multiscale characterization methods to optimize and predict composites properties.
