Recyclable Resin Systems for Wind Turbine Blades

The session will provide overview of WTB recycling technologies, including patent landscape and current development hot topics.  Audience will learn about Vitrimer Polymer technology which incorporates dynamic covalent bonds enabling highly crosslinked networks to be reversible under specific conditions.  Examples and videos showing low temperature solution degradation of epoxy (amine and anhydride cured), urethane, and acrylic based resin systems, from infusion, pultrusion and structural adhesive applications.  Presentation will conclude with potential applications for recovered byproducts from such WTB recycling process.
