CNF blended high performance composites "LUNAFLEX®". Water-based glide coatings with CNF "LUNAFLOW®"

Cellulose nanofiber (CNF), derived from wood, is recognized for its high functionality and sustainability. Kao has developed two products, "LUNAFLEX" and "LUNAFLOW," leveraging its expertise in modifying CNF "LUNAFLEX" controls resin rheology, reduces thermal expansion, and enhances strength and toughness. It is especially suitable for applications in CFRP, structural adhesives, and electronic materials. "LUNAFLOW" is a water-based coating composed of hydrophobically modified CNF and silicone oil, which easily forms slippery surfaces on substrates. It can  inhibit adhesion of bird droppings, snow, microbes, mud and other substances, and  provide high mold-releasing properties for plastic and rubber molds..
