Boosting the Survivability of Carbon Fiber Composites with Lightweight Thermal and Flame Barriers

This presentation highlights AeroZero® thermal protection systems (TPS) as lightweight, versatile solutions for enhancing composite materials' survivability. Tested under extreme conditions, AeroZero® demonstrates significant temperature reductions: ~150°C in 300°C contact heating tests and over 800°C in 1050°C flame tests, all while maintaining mechanical integrity. Applications span aerospace, defense, and energy sectors, offering thin, easy-to-apply solutions that improve thermal management.
