MYcell Eco: A Future For PVC Structural Core, Sustainability and Higher Performances

Recycled raw materials and energy from renewable sources are used in the new Maricell’s structural foam MYcell Eco. The reduced impact on enviroment and a comparison with other foams are discussed. MYcell eco offers a minimum resin uptake thus reducing cost and improving the enviroment performance of the composite production, further less weight (mass) is necessary for the sandwich in comparison with other foam due to the high mechanical characteristics. Some notes on the behaviour of the foam in the water and under severe weather condition is also presented.
