Introduction to JCMA’s Carbon Fiber Sustainability Vision 2050

This session introduces the Carbon Fiber Sustainability Vision 2050, including activities and long-term outlook on how carbon fiber can contribute to the realization of a sustainable society. The Japan Carbon fiber Manufacturers Association (JCMA) consists of Japanese pan-based and pitch-based carbon fiber manufacturers.  For many years, JCMA has been compiling carbon fiber LCI data, quantifying the effect of reducing CO2 emissions through the use of carbon fiber through LCA models for such as aircraft, automobiles and wind turbines, and also working on recycling issues.
