Innovative Multifunctional Composites for Industrial and Transportation Applications

VonRoll presents the benefits of new materials in various markets (Aerospace, Automotive and Industrial), based on the formulation of new resin systems with multifunctional characteristics. The presentation shows how the use of selected fillers and manufacturing concepts resulted in new products with improved fire resistance, thermal and electrical conductivity or in variation of electromagnetic characteristics. A special focus is given to the role of Mica that thanks to its excellent fire barrier performance is used in new applications such as for battery protection in transportation application.
