The tailgate of the VW ID. Buzz Green is a technical and ecological masterpiece. It is made from a bio-fibre-reinforced composite material, produced from renewable and recycled raw materials. The manufacturing process employs innovative technologies such as efficient laminating techniques, minimising material waste and energy consumption.
Why and Whom
The project, part of Volkswagen Group Retail Deutschland (VGRD), gave apprentices the chance to apply their skills in a practical setting. The VW ID. Buzz Green stands for sustainable mobility. Together with our customers (component manufacturers), BÜFA contributed sustainable polyester resin materials for the tailgate from its BÜFA Future Range to develop resource-efficient and innovative solutions.
