FibreLINE
FibreLINE automates the cutting, sequencing, picking, forming, placing and inspection of large carbon fibre plies and other composite material. FibreFORM and FibreROLL are two revolutionary pick and place end effectors at the centre, delivering a step change in material deposition rates. The entire system is available in different configurations, according to customer requirements.
Why and Whom
FibreLINE was developed to facilitate the high rate manufacturing of composite aerostructures and help meet the increasing demand for fuel efficient and environmentally friendly aircraft. Current methods are unable to keep up with the market demand for 100 shipsets per month. Manufacturers are turning to automated solutions in order to increase their production rates and output quality.
