The development of photovoltaics is a market of great interest. Roctool has initiated a Proof of Concept in the field of photovoltaics within the framework of an EasyPoc program supported by the AURA region, with CEA LITEN based at the INES center in Bourget du Lac.

Benefits for the final customers?

The high recyclability of some materials like thermoplastic resin combined with recycled carbon fiber can be reused in existing composite industries. The induction thermocompression process contributes to a minimum carbon footprint, due to a fast cycle time.

The product : materials and processes

Roctool has created a photovoltaic panel demonstrator on a composite support such as a vehicle roof while maintaining performance. This global approach creates a technological breakthrough for solar energy. By creating lightweight, 3D shapes or large dimensional photovoltaic modules, while using eco-friendly materials and the Roctool process makes the panel more recyclable at the end of its life.
